“Hitler’s Enablers”
In November we recommended an article in The New York Review of Books by Christopher Browning where he discusses three books that address the Nazi takeover of Germany in 1933. Christopher Browning is the Frank Porter Graham Professor Emeritus at the University of North Carolina. Professor Browning discusses the following three books: Takeover: Hitler’s Final Rise to Power by Timothy W. Ryback, Hitler’s First Hundred Days: When Germans Embraced the Third Reich by Peter Fritzsche, and The Death of Democracy: Hitler’s Rise to Power and the Downfall of the Weimar Republic by Benjamin Carter Hett.
