The application and information on the European Study Program will be sent in a separate email to all Lerner Fellows.  The Study Program begins in Munich, where the Nazi party started and ends in Oswiecim where we spend four nights. If you are attending the 2023 SIT, you can join us in Europe. Please let Stanlee know if you are interested in participating in the program. The JFR is significantly subsidizing the program.

AWARDS SENT TO RESCUERS

At the end of February, awards were sent to all JFR supported Righteous living in 12 countries.  The rescuers are so appreciative that we have remembered them and are taking care of them.  They are sending emails, through their children and grandchildren, thanking the JFR and each of you for the funds that they receive.  They send their good wishes! On behalf of the rescuers, we at the JFR thank you as well for making their lives so much better and brighter.  Please click here to read the notes from the rescuers.

UPDATE ON RESCUERS IN UKRAINE

Last month we marked the one year anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. During the past year we have remained in close contact with Ukrainian rescuers and their families. A number have left their homes for what they hoped would be safer places. One rescuer left the country for Switzerland. The rescuers in Ukraine have expressed their gratitude for your extra support during this time.

POLISH SOCIETY FOR THE RIGHTEOUS

The JFR would like to recognize the important work of the Polish Society for the Righteous. The Society, which is head by Dr. Anna Stupnicka Bando, is based in Warsaw, Poland. Here is a link to Anna’s rescue story.  For more than twenty-five years, the JFR has worked closely with the Polish Society for the Righteous. Over the past two decades, the Society has helped the JFR reach out to JFR-supported rescuers living in Poland.
