2019 ADVANCED SEMINAR
Applications for the 2019 Advanced Seminar, which is January 19 – 21, 2019, were sent out the end of August. The program will be at the Hilton Newark Airport. Our scholars include Christopher Browning, Sam Kassow, Joseph Benatov, and Robert Jan van Pelt.
If you are interested in attending, please let Stanlee know at [email protected]. Remember, letting Stanlee know you are interested does not reserve your spot in the program.
2019 SUMMER INSTITUTE FOR TEACHERS
The dates for the 2019 Summer Institute for Teachers is Sunday, June 23 to Thursday, June 27, 2019. For our Center staff, you have the dates, so you can start identifying teachers. For our teachers, if you have a colleague that you believe might be eligible for the program, please reach out to your local center education director. Applications for the program will be sent out by the end of 2018.
2019 EUROPEAN STUDY PROGRAM
A number of options are being explored for next summer. One option is a study program to Ukraine, Moldova, and Romania. Another option is Prague, Vienna, and Budapest. We would like to have your feedback.
LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS AND VISITORS
For the past several years, the JFR has been fortunate to have a number of volunteers. We would like to acknowledge two dedicated volunteers – Diane Rosenstein and Lincoln Ornston, who volunteered at the JFR for years.
If your travel takes you to northern New Jersey, please come and visit! And for our Lerner Fellow in the northern part of New Jersey, we would love to have you visit and perhaps volunteer if you have the time.
We are right off of Route 280 and a few minutes from the Garden State Parkway. And there is lots of parking at our building.
