The Jewish Foundation for the Righteous "Alarmed" by Growing Wave of Antisemitism

The Jewish Foundation for the Righteous is deeply alarmed by the distressing growth of antisemitism around the world, particularly in the aftermath of the brutal and vicious massacre carried out by Hamas terrorists that occurred on October 7, 2023, in Israel. We condemn all forms of hatred and violence and express our solidarity with the people of Israel, the victims, and their families during this challenging time.

The rise in antisemitism and antisemitic incidents–in cities and towns across the US and worldwide, on college campuses and on social media–is shocking, horrifying, and disheartening. We have seen this many times before and the last time it occurred it led to the deaths of six million Jews. The memory of the Holocaust serves as a stark reminder of the consequences of unchecked bigotry, and we must actively strive to prevent history from repeating itself.

We call upon individuals, organizations, and governments to come together to denounce antisemitism. As an organization, the JFR’s prime mission is to honor those non-Jews during the Holocaust who would not remain silent in the face of hatred and bigotry, who would not be bystanders when neighbors were being marginalized and attacked. We have seen some of that since the October 7 attack, and we hope to see more. As has been said, the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good people to do nothing.
