GIVING TUESDAY - Tuesday, November 30, 2021
Mark your calendar! Giving Tuesday is Tuesday, November 30, 2021. As we give thanks this year, let us remember to thank and take care of the men and women who risked their lives to save Jews during the Holocaust – non-Jews who refused to be passive in the face of the evil they witnessed. Now elderly and in financial need, help us to make their Christmas holiday a little brighter. Each December the JFR raises funds to send a special award to our rescuers for the purchase of food at Christmas. Our goal this year is $25,000 – help us reach this goal. AWARDS TO RESCUERS
The JFR is getting ready to send a special award to each of our rescuers for the purchase of food for the Christmas holiday. Rescuers also use this special gift to purchase home heating fuel and medication. It is our collective way of saying thank you and for letting the rescuers know that we remember them. These past two years have been difficult for most, especially for the rescuers.
JFR HANUKKAH ECARD
For a donation of $18.00 or more, you can send the JFR Hanukkah eCard to up 10 email recipients. A JFR eCard is a great way to send Hanukkah wishes to friends and family while at the same time supporting the work of the JFR. Click here to send Hanukkah eCards.
FELLOWS IN FOCUS
We hope you have been checking out our featured educators from across the country. Several months ago, the JFR began featuring Alfred Lerner Fellows in a new series called “Fellows in Focus.” Each Wednesday we highlight an outstanding educator! Please check out the JFR’s Facebook page on Wednesday to learn about a terrific teacher.
Teachers who attend the JFR’s Summer Institute for Teachers are known as Alfred Lerner Fellows.

COMBINED FEDERAL CAMPAIGN – CFC
The JFR is pleased to be part of the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) this year. The CFC is the Federal government’s workplace charity campaign and covers all civilian, postal, and military employees. The CFC’s campaign season is September 1st through January 15, 2022. If you know of someone who works for the Federal government, the U.S. military, or the U.S. Postal Service, please ask them to consider selecting the JFR as the recipient of their gift.
