LOGAN GREENE RECEIVES THE JFR’S ROBERT I. GOLDMAN AWARD

Logan Greene, an 8th grade social studies and English language arts teacher from Berry Middle School in Birmingham, AL, received the JFR’s 2023 Robert I. Goldman Award for Excellence in Education. The award was presented to Logan at the JFR’s 2024 Advanced Seminar. Logan is a 2012 Alfred Lerner Fellow. The Goldman Award comes with a cash prize of $1,000.

In presenting the award to Logan, Stanlee Stahl, JFR’s Executive Vice President said, “Logan’s commitment to teaching the Holocaust is unparalleled. Logan is a talented and gifted educator who makes history come alive – he truly inspires! His dedication flows from his commitment, as an engaged citizen and as a devoted teacher, to ensure that this chapter of history is brought forward. It flows, too from his hope that students will model the ethical behavior of the rescuers and to learn from the past to forge a better future for our society.”
