LECTURES FROM 2017 SUMMER INSTITUTE FOR TEACHERS
At the 2017 Summer Institute for Teachers, the JFR taped a number of the lectures. Each month we are going to feature one lecture from a scholar who presented at the 2017 Summer Institute for Teachers. Click here to view the first lecture, given by Professor Doris Bergen. Professor Bergen presented on chapter one of How Was It Possible? A Holocaust Reader – “The Context”.
JFR TRAVELING EXHIBIT ON RESCUE
If you are interested in having the JFR traveling exhibit Whoever Saves a Single Life…Rescuers of Jews During the Holocaust in your community, please contact Stanlee Stahl at [email protected]. The exhibit opened at the United Nations and is perfect for small venues. The exhibition consists of eight panels on four freestanding structures. Each panel narrates stories of rescue during the Holocaust, punctuated by striking images and portraits of the rescuers and survivors.
The JFR fabricated two sets of the exhibition. One set is currently traveling through Florida and the other set will be in the Georgetown Public Library, in Georgetown, Texas from March 18 through April 18, 2018. Stanlee Stahl, JFR Executive Vice President, will be speaking in Georgetown, Texas on March 17 and 18, 2018. If you are in the area, please join us on Sunday, March 18, 2018, at the Georgetown Public Library. The program is free and is open to the public.
