2023 EUROPEAN STUDY PROGRAM TO GERMANY AND POLAND

Last month we announced our 2023 European Study Program to Germany and Poland via E-mail to all Lerner Fellows. In case you missed our E-mail, please click here.

The JFR is offering eight (8) scholarships of $1,000 each, for Lerner Fellows who would like to participate in the 2023 European Study Program to Germany and Poland and would not be able to participate due to funding.  To be considered for this special scholarship, please indicate this in your cover E-mail and in the Additional Information section of the application (page 4), please include complete narratives for the three questions.  Priority will be given to Lerner Fellows who have not traveled to Germany and Poland with another Holocaust program.

If you have questions about the 2023 European Study program, please E-mail Stanlee at [email protected].

HOW WAS IT POSSIBLE? HOLOCAUST CURRICULUM FOR AND BY TEACHERS™

The JFR will be announcing its new online program in the next several months. We have been working with a number of Lerner Fellows these past two years and we thank them for their participation.  More on these Lerner Fellows in an upcoming email.  We are looking for Lerner Fellows who have experience in aligning state standards in U.S. History, World History, and possibly English language arts and writing.  We would like to engage several Lerner Fellows to take our new program and provide an alignment to their state’s standards.  Florida is already done.  Dr. Bernadette Bennett, a Lerner Fellow, now retired will work with you and will provide a template for you to use and provide any assistance you may need.  If you are interested, please E-mail Stanlee at [email protected].

AWARDS SENT TO RESCUERS

In March, awards were sent to all JFR supported Righteous living in 12 countries. The JFR Board of Trustees approved a $50 increase in our monthly awards. This increase was effective January 1, 2023, bringing each monthly award to $300.

The rescuers are so appreciative that we have remembered them and are taking care of them during this time. They are sending emails, through their children and grandchildren thanking the JFR and each of you for the funds that they receive. They send their good wishes!

On behalf of the rescuers, we at the JFR thank you as well for making their lives so much better and brighter. Please click here to read the notes from the rescuers.
