For those who celebrate Purim, which begins March 20, or have family or friends who celebrate, the JFR is offering a Purim eCard.  For a donation of $18 or more, you can send the eCard to ten email addresses.  If you have any questions about the Purim eCard, please contact the JFR office at 212.727.9955. JFR DOCUMENTARY WINS 2018 HUMANITARIAN AWARD FROM BEST SHORTS

The JFR Documentary, “Footsteps of My Father”, won an Award of Distinction from the Best Shorts 2018 Humanitarian Awards competition.

The New Jersey premiere of the documentary will be held on Monday, April 1, 2018, at the New Jersey Jewish Film Festival.  The screening will be held at the College of St. Elizabeth in Morristown, NJ.  Pastor Chris Edmonds and Stanlee Stahl will speak at the screening.

The Pittsburgh Jewish Film Festival will show the documentary on Sunday, March 10, 2019, at 1:00 p.m.  The venue is the SouthSide Works Cinema.

2018 European Study Program Participants

2019 EUROPEAN STUDY PROGRAM TO GERMANY, THE CZECH REPUBLIC, AND AUSTRIA

Professor Robert Jan van Pelt and Stanlee are working on the European Study Program.  If you are interested in joining us in July, please email Stanlee at [email protected].  The program will start on July 9 when we fly to Munich and return to the United States on July 17 from Vienna.  If you are attending the 2019 Summer Institute for Teachers you are eligible to participate in the European Study Program.

JFR EXHIBIT OPENS IN MINNETONKA, MN

The JFR traveling exhibit on rescue opens at Bet Shalom Congregation, Minnetonka, on Sunday, March 3, 2019.  If you are in the Minnetonka, MN area, please do stop by the synagogue to view the exhibit.

On March 3, 2019, Bet Shalom Congregation in Minnetonka, MN is hosting a concert to benefit The Jewish Foundation for the Righteous. Sharon Isbin, a noted guitarist, will be performing.  For more information about seeing the exhibit or attending the benefit concert, please contact Mr. Stephen Barberio, Executive Director, at 952-933-8525.
