2021 HAGGADAH SUPPLEMENT
The JFR’s 2021 Haggadah Supplement recounts the story of the Veseli family, a Muslim family from Kruja, Albania. The Veseli family saved two Jewish families during the Holocaust. The supplement is available on our website at by clicking here. We hope you find this year’s Haggadah supplement a welcome addition to your Seder.
2021 SUMMER INSTITUTE FOR TEACHERS
The 2021 Summer Institute for Teachers (SIT) is set and will be held on Zoom. The dates for the program are Sunday and Monday, June 27 and 28 and Wednesday and Thursday, June 30 and July 1, 2021. Our scholars have accepted and our Alfred Lerner Fellows are set. How Was It Possible? A Holocaust Reader by Peter Hayes, the text for the program, was sent to everyone last July.
In redesigning the 2021 SIT program, we reached out to fourteen Lerner Fellows from previous years. They reviewed our program design for 2021 and based on their feedback significant changes in the program were made. I would like to thank these Lerner Fellows for their time and advice.
Anna Korchak
The JFR mourns the passing of Anna Korchak from Vinnitsa, Ukraine. Anna turned 96 on February 8, 2021. The JFR began providing financial support to Anna in May 1998. To the left is a note from her grandson, Maxim.
May Anna’s memory be a blessing.

We have just about exhausted our supply of Poster Sets on Rescue. We have enough complete sets for this year’s new group of Alfred Lerner Fellows and a few extras. We do have incomplete sets and we are offering them at reduced cost. The cost for the complete set, with shipping is $60.00. If you are interested in purchasing an incomplete set, below is what we have left and the cost. The cost includes the number of posters indicated and shipping. 2022 ADVANCED SEMINAR
The program for the 2022 Advanced Seminar is designed. We are in the process of inviting scholars. The program is held over Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. birthday weekend at the Hilton Newark Airport. The dates of the 2022 Advanced Seminar are January 15 – 17, 2022. Applications for the 2022 program will be announced in several months.
