The New Jersey Premiere of “Footsteps of My Father” will be Monday, April 1, 2019, at the New Jersey Jewish Film Festival. The screening will be at the College of St. Elizabeth in Morristown, NJ. Pastor Chris Edmonds, who is featured in the documentary, and Stanlee Stahl will speak after the film is shown. The screening starts at 7:30 p.m. and there is no cost to attend the program. “Footsteps of My Father” received the third place award, “Honorable Mention”, at the Pittsburgh Jewish Film Festival. The documentary was screened in Pittsburgh on March 10, 2019.
The Cleveland International Film Festival is screening the documentary on Thursday, April 4 and Friday, April 5, 2019 at Tower City Cinemas.
The JFR’s 2019 Haggadah Supplement features Polish rescuer, Wladyslaw Misiuna. The Haggadah Supplement is a way to commemorate the heroic deeds of those non-Jews who risked their lives to save Jews during the Holocaust. The supplement is available on our website by clicking here.
This June, we will welcome our 2019 Alfred Lerner Fellows! The program is in its 20th year! More than 625 educators from across the United States, Poland, Croatia, Hungary, Lithuania, and Latvia have participated in the Summer Institute for Teachers. This June educators and Holocaust center staff will gather at Columbia University at the end of June for five days of lectures by renowned Holocaust scholars.

Stanlee Stahl, JFR Executive Vice President, will be the Yom HaShoah speaker at North Suburban Synagogue Beth El, Highland Park, IL, on Wednesday evening, May 1.
Stanlee will also be the Yom HaShoah speaker for the Jewish Federation of Northeastern Pennsylvania and the Scranton JCC on Thursday evening May 2, 2019. The program will be held at the Scranton JCC and begins at 7:00 p.m.

We are currently sending awards to the rescuers for the first four months of the year. The JFR Board of Trustees approved increases in the monthly award levels of rescuers supported by the JFR effective January 1, 2019. The rescuers will now be better able to afford their medications, home heating fuel, and food. We thank you for making this happen!
