JFR TO SEND RECORD AMOUNT FOR 2023 RESCUER CHRISTMAS AWARDS
The JFR is sending each JFR-supported rescuer a special award of $3,500 for the Christmas holiday. This is the largest, individual Christmas holiday award the JFR has sent to rescuers. More than $325,000 in Christmas awards will be sent to rescuers this year. Our JFR Christmas gifts are used by the rescuers for food, home heating fuel, and medicine. We want to thank you for your generous support of the work of the JFR and for helping to make the lives of the rescuers so much better and brighter!

THANK YOU TO WESTERN UNION
The JFR sends its award by Western Union to all rescuers, except those living in Poland. Rescuers in Poland have their awards deposited directly into their bank account.
The JFR has worked with Western Union for more than 29 years. They have been a wonderful partner and we are so appreciative of their help and support. We thank Western Union for their assistance in helping the JFR send its funds safely and efficiently to the rescuers.

This year, GIVINGTUESDAY was November 28th. To those who participated – thank you! As we wrote above, special awards were sent to each rescuer for the 2023 Christmas holiday.
2024 ADVANCED SEMINAR
The 2024 Advanced Seminar, which is open to JFR Alfred Lerner Fellows will focus on antisemitism. The Advanced Seminar is held over Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday weekend. The following scholars will be presenting: Dr. Magda Teter, Dr. Robert Williams, and Dr. Dave Rich.

COMBINED FEDERAL CAMPAIGN – CFC
The JFR is pleased to be part of the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) this year. The CFC is the Federal government’s workplace charity campaign and covers all civilian, postal, and military employees. The CFC’s campaign season is September 1st through January 15, 2023. If you know of someone who works for the Federal government, the U.S. military, or the U.S. Postal Service, please ask them to consider selecting the JFR as the recipient of their gift. The JFR’s CFC number 10744.
